This is my second Kitchenaid immersion hand blender. I am what the world calls a Foodie. I put my kitchen appliances through the ringer. I use them on a daily basis and hard use at that. So the fact that my first blender lasted over 3 years says a lot about the quality. I am a big fan of Kitchenaid products. I made the mistake of buying a Magic Bullet and it was a piece of junk. Also they did not honor the warranty because I did not buy it directly for the Mfg.. Like a coworker said once you buy cheap stuff you get cheap stuff. Spend the little extra and buy a good blender like this.

Awesome attachment because you can liquify homemade salad dressings very easily. However the rod didn’t fit my old Kitchenaid mixer - got a new one for xmas and it fits.

I’m disappointed with this product because it wants to come unstuck from my brand new Kitchenaid. It was easy to apply but the same day I noticed that that it started to come up a bit around the edges and on the gentle curves over the top.

I just bought this blender based on being chosen #1 by Cook’s Illustrated Magazine, a publication I formerly held in high regard for their integrity & content. Like Consumer Reports, they do not accept advertising in their magazine so the assumption is that their advice is not slanted because they “have no horse in the race”.
I found out this is not the case.
Apparently they have a symbiotic relationship with Kitchen Aid. With my new blender came a postcard with a subscription offering for Cook’s Illustrated. My problem is that after doing some online research I found out that this blender is functionally the same as the much less expensive Kitchen Aid model KSB 560. The only difference is the coating on the base. The motor, container & controls are identical.[...]
When I inquired @ Cook’s Illustrated about why they hadn’t informed their readers about the better value of the KSB 560, their reply was “we haven’t reviewed this model”. I find that a very weak answer! I guess it’s like they say “it’s all about the Benjamins”
I feel ripped off!!!

I had to buy several items just to realize that oster blender ratings was the best choice for the price all along. The only negatives I’ve found were that there are better units available, but they are more expensive and the reviews I found on them were on the negative side. So here’s my final word. I 100% endorse oster blender ratings and will even show you some places to get it even cheaper than retail.

The blade that came with my blender had locked up / rusted. This seems identical and works as expected.

This product is a perfect fit for my Oster blender. The only reason I needed a replacement is because I store the blender jar separate from the blender and managed to tip it off of the shelf onto the floor. This blender jar is super strong and can handle everything from making breadcrumbs to crushing ice.

Originally bought with SS jar….quickly decided it need to be glass….tried getting this but was back ordered for 8 months….tried again 4 months later and had it in 2 weeks….much better seeing when things are at the proper stage rather than liquifying everything
