BRAUN HAND BLENDER/CHOPPER

After owning a few cheaper units, I sprang for the Braun Hand Blender/Chopper and am very pleased with my choice. While I have mainly used mine for its easy blending-in-the-pot capabilities, I admit the chopper has equal merits, especially when you only need to chop a small quantity of ingredients.

I love being able to immerse the blade right in my soup pot to blend or puree soups and sauces without the mess of getting out my food processor or countertop blender. The blade does a quick job of pureeing and wash-up is a dream. I can’t imagine cooking without this handy device.

Highly recommended.

How interesting that I would recieve an email inviting me to review my new Cusinart Duet Blender/Food Processor while I’m drinking my berry smoothie that I just finished making in it!
I can honestly only write about the activity of making a smoothie for this review. If making smoothies is why you need a blender, please don’t purchase this one.
For some reason they have designed the blades to be more than halfway below the bottom of the glass pitcher and ice, larger fruit (like strawberries) never get chopped up and if the concoction that you’re making is a frozen type, it will just spin and spin and nothing actually makes it down into the blade area. Opening the top and stirring every 20 seconds to get the mix down to the blades is very frustrating and time consuming.

I have one of these Smart Power Duet processoe/blenders and I think it is a very handy and space saving tool. I set it up on my counter and use it all the time. As far as noise goes, what electric power tool isn’t. It is worth it for the quick job it does.

I love this food processor! First of all, it is simply beautiful! It is easy to put together and clean and the mini bowl is perfect for little jobs! The base is very sturdy, heavy and will not move around.

This is great for shredding cheese, making cookie, cracker or bread crumbs and chopping anything! I leave it out on my counter and I’m constantly amazed at the uses I find for it.

Since the base is a “chrome finish” i was a little nervous about how durable it would be and was afraid it would flake off after awhile. However, after two years, it still looks as great as it ever did!

Thanks Kitchenaid for another great product!

I did a lot of research before buying this processor. When the first one came, the on switch didn’t work. I called Amazon customer service to explain the problem. They shipped a new one right out. GREAT customer service. I really like the food processor, including the mini bowl. It’s easy to use and works really well. I especially like the small shreds when using the grater blade.

I just read a 5-star and a 1-star review of this product and I agree totally with both. Bottom-line: don’t buy this model.
I agree that the blender part is super. It makes great smoothies and crunches ice much better than my last blender.
I agree that the food processor is miserable. I too bought it assuming I could use it to grate. It nowhere said I was getting half the functions I could get with any cheap food processor. When I discovered the problem, I too bought additional parts in order to grate. They don’t work on this machine. But it’s not all bad. The plastic is so frail, it broke the first time I knocked it over. Now I can throw the food processor parts away and buy something that does the things I expect a food processor to do.
And another thing. I’m feel so stupid. I bought this model specifically because I figured a 2-in-1 machine would take up less space. A food processor without a base has the same size foot-print as a food processor with a base. I hope you realize how much I’m risking to write this. I have a reputation for being a pretty savvy consumer and if anyone I know reads this….

I wasn’t very impressed with this hand blender! You have to break your finger to push the one button, and it is a very deep button. The rubber covering the on button will rip very quickly because of this problem. I am very unsatisfied with my purchase.

This thing just says hit me with your best shot! And I do everytime and it never fails me. I grind chicken breast for chicken loaf chop up garlic. OOOOOHHHH! So, nice! I noticed that some people complained about the size of the food processor but, I think it’s big enough to get the job done and if I’m making a larger meal I just split up the portions. I think for what your paying and that you should be more than pleased with what you recieve. It’s a combo deal - the blender jar is huge and sturdy and wonderful. The blades are sharp for both products and do a superb job. The stand up to anything (within reason for you nutty nuts out there)!
